Aileen Ligot Dizon is the founder and managing partner of Ligot Dizon Law Firm, P.C. Aileen is admitted to practice before the: (1) State Courts of Texas; (2) United States Tax Court; (3) Executive Office for Immigration Review; (4) United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; (5) United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas; (6) United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas; (7) United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas; and (8) the Philippines. Aileen was an educator at the Houston Independent School and Fort Bend Independent School District before becoming a full-time practicing Texas attorney.
As to her education, Aileen obtained her Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas, Texas, her Master of Education (M.Ed.) at the University of Houston-Victoria, and completed her Teacher Alternative Certification Program (ACP) at the University of Houston-Downtown. Additionally, Aileen has obtained her J.D. degree and Pre-Law degree at the University of the Cordilleras School of Law and the University of the Philippines Baguio, respectively. As a divorce and family law attorney, Aileen has helped numerous clients navigate the challenges of divorce, marital property division, and Suit Affecting Parent-Child Relationship (SAPCR) such as child custody, visitation, and child support. Aileen also has extensive experience in estate planning.
